A very short history
The USS AMERICA was built by the Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. Ingalls Operations, at Pascagoula, Mississippi. Launched October 20, 2012 and commissioned October 11, 2014 at San Francisco, California; she is homeported in San Diego, California.

The photographs on pages 8 thru 13 are 'stiched' photos, that is we used photoshop to combined a few photos into a panaromic photo of AMERICA or an area on the AMERICA. These types of panaromic photos are for the ship modeler and are EXTREMELY LARGE, both in 'byte' and physical size.
